Ferragosto time

And even this year we are in the zenith of Summer. A pause about our little soldiers, to speak about bikinis. Do you prefer military uniforms or these two strips of cloth? Impossible to answer.

Who are these beautiful girls? They are Stellar, a popular Korean pop group. Don’t hear the music but enjoy the video.

Memento Mori comic

If you think that 1/6 action figures are expensive and that building a scenario for them is something impossible due to space issues, you don’t know the Memento Mori web comic. It is a Roman story made of photos of customised action figures, a lot of them. So you can call it photo story book instead of comic book. It is still in development, even if in the last times I think that new work lacks. However we are speaking of 223 pages at the present. With a cast of 95 figures and lots of extras. Think to the effort, economic and artistic to realise it. Epic!

Read the story of these people made of plastic but with human passions, free on the web on Memento Mori web site.

Frank Cho and Milo Manara

Milo Manara is a great comic book artist that draws beautiful and sexy women. When Marvel commissioned a cover for Spider Woman comic, he drew the character as he is used to do. Then social justice warriors, who get offended by anything and everything, honked against this cover. In the name of political correctness they claimed that it is offensive for women. Someone claimed with a specious justification that the cover was to throw away because of incorrect anatomical pose, as if comic characters are like real people and not idealisation of them. Even Renaissance Italian artists took anatomic licenses to better represent people, situations or sentiments.

After this lobbist pressure, Marvel courageously dropped the cover. A sad day.

Some time ago we had conservative bigots, now we have radical left bigots. These modern heirs of Wertham want to impose their view only for personal power, taking vantage of social themes only to judge other people in the name of their imaginary moral purity and emotional sensitivity.

Frank Cho is another great comic book artist. In the struggle against the abuse of political correctness he drew some covers in the same way of Milo Manara’s Spider Woman cover. A razz to censorship.

First time in Ieper

Ieper is a famous city for being the killing ground of young people in uniforms. Just 100 years ago. In the ’90 it was famous to being the city where there was the Vort’n Vis squat. Nowadays there is still an art-gallery squat with that name but in another place. Where I lived for a sum of 3-4 days there is now a polite restaurant-bar.

Some time ago I spoke about a blog with photos about my hardcore punk years. You can find the post here:
http://www.massimomoscarelli.it/leadaddicted/?p=6717

After about six months we have another post on that blog with other photos that I took in 1993:

Another UE great idea

In the meantime. The global government wants to terrorise us in every manner. It finances terrorists as Daesh and wants to destroy Russia that wants only the right to live. After the prohibition to fly with bottles of water or nail-clippings, now it wants to ban legal gun ownership. With a series of excuses it claims that even deactivated weapons, as rusted iron pieces of WWII era without firing mechanisms and closed barrels, cannot be in possess of registered collectors. Everything that resemble a semi-automatic weapon must be destroyed. Toys too.

Let’s try to sign this petition on
Change.org. And never trust the global government.

Following the text of the petition:

On the morning of 7th January 2015 Terrorists attacked Charlie Hebdo, with fully automatic, unregistered and illegal firearms.

Since then the EU has been preparing new legislation to ban semi-automatic firearms in the hands of law abiding EU citizens. Despite the fact that these weapons were not used by terrorists and are not even typically used by criminals.

They use unregistered, untraceable black market full auto Kalashnikovs.

The new legislation has been on the back burner since April 2015, only to surface now on 18th of November, barely 5 days after a second attack in Paris.

The victims of this tragedy have not been buried yet, the criminals are still on the loose and the police has not even finished the investigation and yet the EU is announcing measures to prevent something like that from happening again.

Unfortunately nothing in the draft would have prevented these 2 attacks since neither were done with weapons that are now legal and would be banned with this new law. Nothing.

It is not logical and above all it is extremely unfair.
It is unfair to the victims, it is unfair to the law abiding citizens whose hobby and property will be taken away.

Say NO to the draft proposal announced on 18 November 2015
Do not restrict semi-automatic firearms ‘because they look like an automatic firearm’

We the Citizens demand that the EU brings focus on the real problems:
– That the external borders of the EU are not protected.
[note: Turkey will enter in Schengen area in October 2016!!!]
– Our population has groups in it that refuse to align with our democratic core values and our culture.
– Illegal arms trade is rampant within the EU.
– Criminals and terrorists have easier access to illegal weapons than legal gun owners have access to legal arms.

That is the current situation and this new legislation does NOTHING to address those problems.
The 18 November IP-15-6110 draft to amend 91/477/EEC is not only populist in nature, it is also an insult to our civil liberties and to the intelligence of the EU citizens as a whole.

It’s Ferragosto time!

The Summer day of the year! This year no Summer holidays due to new house refurbishment. But this day is always holiday!
And as every year the post with amenities (miniature soldiers are a serious thing indeed).

This is a new great entry in trash world. Andrea Diprè is a bloke with a loser look, and he is involved in porno stars and weird chaps interviews. He claims to be addicted to sex and drugs. He is very funny and the unequivocal proof of brain damage with the abuse of illegal substances. Together with him you can find Sara Tommasi. She was a TV actress famous only for her body. Now she is out of mind. She lives in the same city where live Andrea Sfiligoi of Ganesha Games. And here they sing their Summer song where they say: “come with me inside my privé, coke and tramps even for you”. Real culture!

The myth! Richard Benson is back with a record and a great hit. Like a paraplegic king on his throne, he moves his club and gnash his teeth. This song is about his fear for dwarves. We sing it during Ganesha Games work for the upcoming kickstarter about dwarves miniatures and rules.

And now Andrea Diprè interview Richard Benson in English. So you can understand their greatness. Have real fun during this Summer ; )

Hardcore Days at Vort’n Vis

Before blogs there were other ways to speak about himself and passions. No instant messages, photos and videos, but typing, photocopies, glue and stamps. My first fanzine was published in 1989, I think. This one was in 1995. Obviously no wargaming issues but hardcore music, straight edge music exactly. All in English, but with the help of a friend of mine. At that time I knew English worse than now!

Some days ago a Belgian contacted me about a music festival in 1994. It was during the half of August. With two friends of mine I travelled in Germany, Denmark, Netherlands and Belgium. Backpacks, hostels and one Interrail ticket, a free pass for trains in Europe. The 15th of August we were at Legoland in Denmark. A crucial stop over was at Vort’n Vis (Rotten Fish), a squat in Ieper, place famous for WWI battles. Three days of hardcore music and meeting with other people like us all around Europe. A life ago, but still some memories are vivid in my mind.

This chap is drawing up a complete historical review of all concerts in that place. He found my address and I scanned my materials about that period. Now these are published in his blog:
https://90svortnvis.wordpress.com/2015/04/24/94-08-192021-hardcore-festival-italian-impressions/
You can even see a photo of mine with an injured foot due not to stagediving or pogo but football in that narrow alley. After I continued my European travel despite bandages. I was younger, slimmer and with more hair.
