Lucca 2010: Ferrum et Gloria

This is the last post about Lucca. Wow, I wanted to publish only some pics but instead I covered all the event with 14 posts! And to make this I spent a lot of time. I don’t want to pass all my time on this blog, I have other things to do! I had so much fun in Lucca and I wished to show you the feel that remains in me. From the last year, when I stayed in Lucca only a day, I wanted to stay the full period of the convention. I waited an entire year, so this was very important to me.

My game was present in Lucca too. I took with me the miniatures, the rules and my portable arena! Lucca games was so huge that I think only a few noted me and my fighters. Another time I must bring with me some hostesses undressed like female gladiators and it will be a full success.

I presented the game but I’m still not full ready with the rules and the heat and the chaos were not the best situation to explain it. It was only a taste of water. I was in Lucca too and this is the important thing.

Lucca 2010: Atomic Rocket

lucca 2010

Atomic Rocket is a multimedia project by two friends of mine. It is all about a fictional Italian comic group in late sixties of the past century. Their productions were on weird super-heroes, mixed with Italian noir comics style, full of sex and violence. Some comics was made by photos as you can see on these covers.

lucca 2010 lucca 2010

I participate with ideas and writing, some concepts are mine, in their fist comic book there is an introduction re-wrote by me. I wish to be part of all this but I have no time, I’m very sorry.

I’m very proud of this project, my friends are doing a great work! In the real life they are not super heroes but a graphic designer and video maker (Francesco Brunotti, on the left) and a scene designer (Roberto Papi, on the right).

I hope they can have a good result like the Lucca one, where they sold a lot at their stand and were contacted by people of comic and fashion fields.

Lucca 2010: cosplay

lucca 2010

You must think about one thing: all the time involved in the making of the costumes. It is a hard work of needle and sewing thread, a dressmaking work by improvised milliner, long as our miniature projects. I can see impressive realisations, an high quality that astonish.

lucca 2010

The contest was in the open. A long queue to show your costume and your play over the stage. People have wi-fi microphones and musical bases, contact lens and hour of preparation in front of a mirror. It seems something more serious and professional than a simple passing. People here is what they want to be and not what they are in normal life.

lucca 2010

This area was free access and while the show went on, others were making their show in the street.

lucca 2010 lucca 2010

Infamous Red Skull (nazi a go go!) and space vessel Yamato with its captain inside!

A demon boy from Go Nagai (15° and a freezing wind, and this mad was naked!) and Lego Batman (there is man inside!)

lucca 2010 lucca 2010

Umbrella Academy is a big group with tent, customized van (!), special effects, shop!

lucca 2010

Empire strike back twice!

lucca 2010

Down with the Jedi fags! Long life to Empire!

lucca 2010

Captain America beware, there is the Red Skull around!

lucca 2010

DC comics instead of Marvel comics here. Enemies of Batman.

lucca 2010

I think he cannot pass through a port. He had a personal mechanic to set his removable parts…

lucca 2010

TigerMask! Directly from the Tiger Lair!

lucca 2010

A spiderwoman. Dangerous I think.

lucca 2010

I saw two Jesus Christ in Lucca. Not only mystic visions, but double mystic visions!

lucca 2010

A tea with Alice. They brought the teapot and the table from home…

lucca 2010

On Sunday, because of the rain, the contest went on inside an ancient palace, but I was inside the games pavilion all the day.

Tomorrow more interesting cosplay…

Lucca 2010: stands

Here a gallery of multicoloured stands in Lucca. I have not took a picture of comic stands, only now I realize this. It is because in my life I saw tons of comic shops, while this gadgets stands are new to me, with their different stuff.

Lucca 2010: sexy models

There is a type of models only for men, more than trains or tanks: undressed girls! I prefer the real ones, but sometimes is pleasant to see the forms of a beautiful girl around you. Men are sexually attracted by view, so even a plastic little girl is something that is attractive. Here a gallery of Japanese models about sensual girls, viewed in Lucca.
